The Federal Glass Company, located in Columbus, Ohio, began production in 1900. They specialized in handmade press glass. Offering low cost tumblers, kitchenware, luncheon sets and dinnerware. By underselling their competitors, Federal Glass thrived!
Anticipating the public’s need for glassware, in the 1920’s Federal Glass had the foresight to switch their production methods to automation. Thus making it one of the first producers of machine made pieces.
This beautiful luncheon set was very popular in the 1940’s and is comprised of 4 plates, cups and saucers, in the Columbia Clear pattern was first introduced in 1938. The bubble and sunflower design definitely give off a futuristic/art deco vibe, and with the patterning not produced on the eating surface no need to worry about damaging it. The soft scalloped corners and low profile cup is the perfect feminine touch for you and the ladies at an intimate afternoon luncheon!
The plate measures 9” square. The cup measures 2-1/2” tall and has a 6 ounce capacity. The saucer is 6” square. All the pieces are in wonderful condition – there are no signs of wear, scratches, chips or repairs.
This set is made with heavy vintage glass and weighs over 9 pounds before packaging.

Return Policy: Please note that all of our items are antique or vintage and have prior years of use and wear.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me within 14 business days of receiving your item and we mutually agree upon the problem. Buyer remorse or failure to read the description completely are not reasons for returning an item.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost for items returned unless the item is received damaged or there was an obvious listing error.

I refund original product purchase price only - not any fees associated with specialty requests such as sizing, gift wrapping, etc. Upon receipt of the item in original condition which it was shipped a 10% restocking fee is charged on all returns for any reason, unless an obvious error has been made in the listing or the return is associated with damage.
If the item is damaged during shipment, please take a pictures of the outside of the box showing the damage from different angles, Pictures of the the inner packaging, then pictures of the damaged item itself.
There are never too many pictures for insurance claims. You will be reimbursed for all costs via the source of your payment once the claim has been excepted. You may have to return the item to me or to the insurer so please keep the item until told otherwise.
